PO-02-198 COMPARISON BETWEEN LOW-FLUOROSCOPY AND ZERO-FLUOROSCOPY FOR ATRIAL FIBRILLATION RADIOFREQUENCY CATHETER ABLATION; A LARGE COHORT STUDY

چکیده
Despite tri-dimensional (3D) mapping, fluoroscopy is still widely used to perform atrial fibrillation (AF) radiofrequency catheter ablation (AF-RFCA). However, each step could be performed without X-ray, with the help of transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and 3D navigation. To determine safety an AF-RFCA workflow zero fluoroscopy. Secondary outcomes were procedural parameters efficacy. This monocentric, retrospective study included consecutive patients that underwent from January 2018 October 2021. Patients Marshall vein ethanol infusion excluded. Zero was achieved a TEE assisted trans-septal puncture full mapping We compared baseline characteristics, criteria patient (fluo+) (fluo-) use All had 12 months follow-up. A total 2157 (age 66,3+/-0,5 y.o., Male 67%, paroxysmal AF 57%) included. Patient in fluo+ group (n=918) fluo- (n=1239) similar characteristics. Cardiac implantable electronic devices more often (12% Vs. 3; p=0.01). Skin skin time shorter (81,7+/-2,15 Vs 86,1+/-3,03; p=0,04). Procedure related complications (overall 8%) occurred similarly both groups. Finally, AF/atrial tachycardia recurrence rate at 16%) equivalent after mean 1,23+/-0.03 procedures. In this large cohort, zero-fluoroscopy shortened compromising Zero-fluoroscopy should encouraged diminish patient’s X-ray exposure physician’s discomfort.

Extremely low-frame-rate digital fluoroscopy in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation
Despite the technological advance in 3-dimensional (3D) mapping, radiation exposure during catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF) continues to be a major concern in both patients and physicians. Previous studies reported substantial radiation exposure (7369-8690 cGy cm) during AF catheter ablation with fluoroscopic settings of 7.5 frames per second (FPS) under 3D mapping system guidance....
متن کاملRemote magnetic catheter navigation versus conventional ablation in atrial fibrillation ablation: Fluoroscopy reduction
BACKGROUND Percutaneous transcatheter radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation with remote controlled magnetic navigation (RMN) has been shown to reduce radiation exposure to patients and physicians compared with conventional manual (MAN) ablation techniques. METHODS Catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation was performed utilizing RMN in 214 consecutive patients and MAN ablation techni...
متن کاملTransvenous Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation for Atrial Flutter and Atrial Fibrillation
Transvenous radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFA) for treatment of atrioventricular (AV) reentrant tachycardia and AV nodal reentrant tachycardia is remarkably successful. To the best of my knowledge, there has not been a large randomized trial comparing RFA with other treatments for these tachycardias. The lack of such trials is due at least in part to the self-evident efficacy of RFA in this...
متن کاملCatheter ablation of atrial fibrillation without fluoroscopy using intracardiac echocardiography and electroanatomic mapping.
BACKGROUND Catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation is currently guided by x-ray fluoroscopy. The associated radiation risk to patients and medical staff may be significant. We report an atrial fibrillation ablation technique using intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) and electroanatomic mapping without fluoroscopy. METHODS AND RESULTS Twenty-one patients with atrial fibrillation (age, 42 to 7...
